Where are all the treasure troves in Sydney? We do a lot of décor shopping, so we definitely know all the good spots to pick up beautiful pieces for your home. We’ve put together a list of our favourite interior boutiques to get yourself some amazing goodies and add that extra sparkle to your home.
Becker Minty, Shop 7. 81 Macleay Street, Potts Point
This luxury concept store is located in the heart of trendy and eclectic Potts Point. Featuring some very luxurious brands, Becker Minty has a collection of home décor, art, furniture, and lighting to add something extra special to your space. This is certainly the place to find some unique treasures from top-end designers such as Kelly Wearstler, AERIN, Blainey North, L’Oject, as well as Becker Minty’s own brand. They also have some stunning gifts such as candles from Cire Trudon if you are looking to treat someone else or maybe just yourself!
Tara Dennis – 250 Darling Street, Balmain and 33 Redleaf Avenue, Wahroonga
Featuring high-quality home collections from furniture to cushions, wall art, and rugs in addition to Manchester and luxury bath towels and soft furnishings like cushions and throws, Tara Dennis blends the old with the new in terms of style. We love to pick up gorgeous barware here too including some vintage-style champagne ice buckets and glassware. We’re fond of their Christmas décor too! If entertaining is your thing, this is certainly the store to stop in at, with beautiful crockery and dishes, wooden boards, placemats, and coasters to add to your collection.
Kmart – Various store locations
The humble Kmart might not be up to the luxury standard of some of the other stores on our list, but we think that their home range has a lot going for it. Typically leaning towards a modern and contemporary design style, Kmart has a great range of soft furnishings, storage baskets, accessories, and furniture items. Whilst the products may not be built to last a lifetime the price tag is certainly attractive and allows for the flexibility to change out pieces to match the season or current design trends fairly frequently.
Lunatiques – 2 Kent Road, Mascot
Lunatiques are crazy for anything old and a great place to pick up some vintage items for your home. If you love anything with a story to it and some good old-fashioned character, then this is the store for you. Lunatiques features a large range of Mid-Century style furniture and accessories so if your look is ‘Mad Men’ then get down here quick smart. Industrial and recycled pieces are also heavily featured in this huge 3500 sqm warehouse store as well as retro and art deco styles. From artwork to collectibles and even tableware and lighting Lunatiques is also one of the largest stockists of vintage chandeliers in Sydney. With new stock coming into the warehouse daily you will be sure to find something that you like here.
No matter where you live in Sydney, we are lucky enough to have an array of options for different budgets and décor styles to suit almost anyone so get out there and shop till you drop!
