With Australia’s cost-of-living and housing crisis continuing to affect everyday life, many renters and homebuyers are turning to tiny homes as a financial salve.
Following three particularly challenging years – which included the Covid pandemic, soaring inflation and rental costs – Justine Wilson moved into a tiny home located on a friend’s property on the NSW Hawkesbury River.
“As a single person and business owner who was renting in the heart of Sydney, I really needed a different circumstance to battle the changing economic climate and to adapt to a new way of life,” she said.
